What Materials and Tools Are Needed for Animatronic Dinosaur Repair?

The animatronic dinosaurs are made using high-tech methods. The pictures restored by the computer can make very realistic dinosaurs. No matter the appearance or shape, they are no different from real dinosaurs. The shape of this dinosaur is lifelike after being made. The production of electric dinosaurs requires the use of steel as the dinosaur's support, coupled with mechanical rotation, and the use of high-density sponge for three-dimensional processing into dinosaurs, and then the upper part of the dinosaur fiber is used to simulate the strength of the dinosaur skin. The next step is to let the silica gel be diluted and brushed on the surface of the dinosaur to form the skin of the dinosaur, and then spray the color as needed.

Every summer is the season with a high failure rate of the imitation dinosaur. The main reason is the sun exposure. Once the dinosaur skin is damaged, a series of problems will be caused by the internal water.

The most basic and most easily damaged simulated dinosaur is the skin. This is a problem that operators have encountered. If a small area is damaged, it does not need to be repaired, but if it is large, it needs to be repaired, otherwise, it will cause many indirect failures, such as motors. The internal steel structure is rusty due to water damage.

The materials and tools that need to be prepared for maintenance are: silicone rubber, all-purpose glue, sponge, elastic stockings, scissors, needles and threads, scrapers, acrylic paint, and those with conditions can prepare weak acid water for cleaning.

The maintenance step is to first clean up the dust and debris in the damaged location, and then use the sponge to fill the damaged cavity with all-purpose glue, and then scrape a layer of silicone glue to the sponge surface, and evenly and evenly bond the elastic stockings to the damaged portion. Brush a layer of silicone glue onto the elastic stockings to form a sandwich effect. Since the silicone rubber is gray, you need to add color after the glue is completely dry. Apply acrylic on the silicone rubber from light to dark.

Of course, repairing for some minor damages is very simple. You only need to stitch the damaged ones together with a needle and thread, then apply a layer of silicone glue for waterproofing, and finally, use acrylic to complement the color.

It should be noted that the above are only the materials and tools for the repair of the simulated dinosaur skin. If the internal electrical mechanical structure is damaged, the individual cannot repair it by himself, so do not try to repair it. Please ask the outdoor display dinosaur simulation factory to send professional technicians to repair it.
